The Vice President – Engineering and Technical for Plant is responsible for leading the plant's engineering and technical operations, overseeing project execution, engineering standards, process optimization, and long-term technical strategy. The role works closely with executive leadership to improve plant performance, technology adoption, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee plant engineering functions.
Manage planning, execution, and optimization of pre-engineered building projects.
Lead multidisciplinary engineering and plant teams.
Establish and maintain technical standards.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Review and approve engineering designs.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and project management teams.
Resolve complex technical and operational issues.
Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
Implement engineering and manufacturing best practices.
Support capacity planning and plant expansion initiatives.
Lead technology upgrades and digital transformation efforts.
Develop long-term engineering and technical strategies.
Mentor engineering managers and technical leaders.
Support talent development and succession planning.
Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance to executive leadership.
Strong engineering and plant management expertise.
Experience managing complex technical operations.
Proven team leadership and people management experience.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Project management experience.
Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Experience with risk management.
Product development or engineered solutions experience.
Familiarity with engineering software and digital systems.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Extensive experience in plant-based or manufacturing environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
