The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and database infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with frontend developers, QA engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to build reliable and efficient software solutions.
Design and develop backend applications using Python/Django and/or Node.js.
Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Integrate third-party services and APIs.
Develop and maintain clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Monitor application performance.
Troubleshoot production issues.
Implement caching mechanisms.
Optimize application performance.
Participate in code reviews.
Contribute to architecture discussions.
Support technical planning activities.
Maintain API documentation.
Prepare and update technical documentation.
2–4 years of professional backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in:
Python
Django
Django REST Framework (DRF)
OR
Node.js
Express.js
Experience developing REST APIs.
Strong PostgreSQL knowledge.
Database optimization experience.
Understanding of software security principles.
Experience with Docker.
Experience with containerized applications.
Proficiency in Git.
Experience with collaborative development workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with AWS.
Experience with Azure.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Redis.
Familiarity with Celery.
Familiarity with RabbitMQ.
Experience with background job systems.
Knowledge of GraphQL.
Knowledge of gRPC.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Experience building SaaS products.
Experience working on enterprise software products.
